Our regular office hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00 AM - Noon and 1-4 PM.  Other times are by appointment only.

Why Jesus? Why Now? Why Central UMC?

   These are the essential questions we need to answer for ourselves before we begin to invite others. They are the questions that those we are inviting are asking. So, here are my answers:

  Last Sunday Lunch will be served on Sunday,January 29, 2012.  Team HOPE will be serving liver and onions as well as hot beef sandwiches with their proceeds going in support of their April mission trip to Joplin, Missouri to help with clean up and rebuilding.

Mission Opportunity to reach out to others. Work trip to Joplin, MO, April 16-20. For more information, contact the church at 641-672-2564.

The United Methodist Foundation has many scholarships to offer, both for seminary and for general education. If you are interested in applying, visit the website www.iumf.org for a list of these scholarships and for the application forms. All Applications and required material must be post marked no later than March 15, 2012 to be eligible.

 Please note a time change - EPIC Youth Group will begin meeting at 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM every Sunday evening (effective immediately). The format will remain the same. EPIC Youth Band practice is at 5PM. The meal will be served at 5:30PM. Worship will begin at 6pm and small group discussions will start at about 6:30 - 6:45 PM. We continue to need assistance in preparing the evening meal and food donations.

 NOTE: No EPIC Youth Group Sunday, February 5, 2012 due to YSFC.

 The children of the church will again this year, be making valentines, which they will sell for $2.00 each. They will also be selling carnations in vases for $6.00. If you would like to purchases any of these items for family, friends, or fellow church members, orders will be taken before both services on the January 29 & February 5th. The children will deliver any valentines or flowers you order to nursing homes on Feb. 12. Other orders will be available for pick up on the 12 as well.

   United Methodist Women of Central United Methodist Church meet five times a year for a General Meeting and monthly to gather in mini-units for education and fellowship (refreshments are always served)
